Le Procope

I had lunch at Le Procope today, the oldest restaurant in Paris.  Created in 1686 by an Italian, the Procope was the meeting place for great minds over the years, like Benjamin Franklin, Didierot,  and Robespierre.

There is a letter in one of the dining rooms by Marie Antoinette.

Some lace that was mounted in frames on the wall.

Just to prove I was there!

I had a shellfish soup with mushrooms.

The fish was delish! With chopped olives and tomatoes and virgin olive oil!

A clean desk

I woke up this morning to my desk.  Actually I do not have one anymore.  I moved the computer desk up to the bedroom where it is now accumulating clutter.  In fact, that is the very reason why I moved it out of the living room.  I know have this that is sort of a desk. I like it because it is old.

I cannot pile junk on it.  It is too small.  But somehow I do.  I have my files I regularly use in the cubby hole below.  Works for me.  So I woke up this morning to my desk and clean off the extra papers and filed or threw them out.  One giant step towards sanity.

Makes you feel good

Makes you feel good to help a lady who is close to retirement age,who will have next to nothing, who has spent her life cleaning other people's houses and putting out their garbage... Feels great to know that you helped her feel better physically and she will have a better future because you are helping her build a business that will bring her income for the rest of her life.  Just makes you feel good.

Summer is in full swing

Summer is happening here finally.  The kids are on vacation.  Isaac got his diploma from high school with honors.  I have been sewing! And we are planning the Royal Rangers camp at the end of the month.  The kids are working on ONLY speaking English. I do hear a lot of French but the switch over quickly when mom walks in.

Lydia and Timothé have moved to a suburb in the 92nd district so they are over an hour away. :(

Reliv is going full swing.  I got a super bonus last month that paid for my trip to the States in August! My health is great now.  Some of you may be aware of the struggles I'd had with my sinuses, joints and bone spurs.  My body has taken care of that with Reliv and now I've been able to start losing some more weight with Slimpicity and Oxycise.

I have been amazed at the results some of our group has been seeing, especially with high blood pressure.

So far summer looks like it will be a busy one!
